My new short documentary is out now
"There Is No Away" is my new short documentary, made in collaboration with Earth Team Sustainable Youth Internship students from Arroyo High School and supported by a grant from the Rose Foundation.
In this film, students from Arroyo High School set out to research household hazardous waste and educate the East Bay community about how to properly dispose of it.
As they begin asking questions, they discover something surprising: many people simply don’t know what to do with everyday hazardous waste—from batteries and paint to other household chemicals.
The film follows the students as they investigate the problem, talk to community members and experts, city officials, and search for practical solutions.
Because when we throw something “away,” it doesn’t really go away.
Watch There Is No Away: Exploring Household Hazardous Waste to learn more about household hazardous waste and how you can safely dispose of these materials in Alameda County.
